Mobile phones are equipped with gilded bronze bands that have been moulded into contact springs. High-quality tempered plug or spring contacts made of spring-tempered alloys are used to produce telephones, control systems for switchboards or switch cabinets.
Plug connectors are not only made from specific copper alloys because of the material's excellent conductivity. Mechanical and chemical properties such as ductility and galvanic surface treatments to prevent oxidation of the contacts are also selection criteria for the production process of information technology equipment.
